Office-based pilot - The Look-out
The look-out post is located in the Port-Bloc building in Le Verdon. An office-based pilot is stationed there at all times. He is responsible for coordinating traffic in conjunction with the various port operators (harbor master’s office, shipping agents, mooring and towing services), as well as providing radar assistance.
On weekdays, the on-call pilot is assisted by a shift employee. The reception desk is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
